What We Believe

The Scriptures

We believe that the Bible, as found within the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation, is the inerrant, infallible Word of God; and that God not only inspired every word, but He has also preserved them through the ages. We believe the King James Bible is the preserved Word of God for the English-speaking people, and it is the official and only translation used or believed by this church; thus the King James Bible is our final and absolute authority in all matters of faith and practice.

The Trinity

We believe in the Triune God, creator and sustainer of all things, infinitely holy, and eternally existent in three persons, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, co-equal as one Being.

We believe that the clear message of salvation is repentance toward God and faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ.  We believe that men are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God only through the merit of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

We believe that all the redeemed are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever. We believe that eternal life is the present possession of every believer.

The Afterlife

We believe in the everlasting blessedness of the saved in the literal place called Heaven and the everlasting, conscious punishment of the lost in the literal place called the Lake of Fire.

The Church

We believe that the New Testament church is a local assembly of baptized believers who have voluntarily joined themselves together to carry out the Great Commission. The Lord is doing His work in this world through local churches.

We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control. Christ is the only head of the church.

We believe in a traditional style of worship.  We believe that music should be conservative and God-honoring in its sound, words, and presentation.

Biblical Separation

We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Saviour and Lord; and, that separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations is commanded of God.

The Devil

We believe that Satan is a personal being, a fallen angel, prince of demons, the god of this age, the great enticer and deceiver, the adversary of Christ and His people, the accuser of the brethren whose end is the Lake of Fire.

The Return of Christ

We believe the "Blessed Hope" of our Lord's return is literal, personal, visible, imminent, premillennial, and pretribulational. Believers will be caught up to be with the Lord prior to the seven years of tribulation, and at the end of the tribulation Christ will return with His saints to establish His thousand-year reign on the earth.

This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith.

The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe. beliefs doctrine
